Future Leaders 2-Day Workshop
For medtech and neuroscience EMCRs
28th - 29th August 2023, Auckland (travel provided)
This workshop provides the opportunity for early- to mid-career researchers (EMCRs) in medtech and neuroscience to establish new research collaborations with high impact and develop transdisciplinary collaboration skills across organizations.
You will be encouraged to delve into problems, uncover innovative solutions, identify research projects, and initiate new collaborative working partnerships. This workshop will gather EMCRs from across organizations, attracting a diverse mix of neuroscience and medtech researchers. External speakers will also be involved to provide a commercialization perspective.

Te Pātaka Whaioranga – Pharmac attends HealthTech Week
The conference provided a great opportunity for Pharmac staff, suppliers, and others to kōrero about medical technology. Importantly, suppliers were encouraged to talk with Pharmac if they have hospital medical devices that aren’t yet under a Pharmac contract.
Research Acceleration Programme (RAP)
Stage I Next deadline 12pm Monday 31st July
Stage 1 RAP funding supports the formation of new collaborative relationships between researchers, clinicians, companies and/or partnerships with Māori and Pacific communities. This is an open call for proposals and submissions can be made at any time. Proposals are reviewed every two months and awarded within 2 weeks.
Stage II Next RfP released 1st August 2023.
Stage II RAP funding identifies concepts with the potential to be viable for clinical application and commercialisation.
