About the event

Our actions must be guided by our relationships with tangata whenua and Te Tiriti, while we value other knowledge systems including mātauranga Māori. These Whaia te Tika workshops aim to enable participants to engage more effectively with Māori by providing a better understanding of Kaupapa Māori in a research context.

This series is designed for researchers and clinicians in the health, brain, and bioengineering areas. This workshop is essential if you are supervising a Māori student for summer 23/24.

You must attend every workshop, including those onsite in Auckland. Unfortunately we are unable to cover travel costs for those outside Auckland.

03/10/23 10am-1pm Workshop 1 (online)

12/10/23 10am-1pm Workshop 2 (online)

31/10/23 10am-4pm Waananga for workshop 3 and 4 (onsite in Auckland)

16/11/23 10am-1pm Workshop 5 (online)

23/11/23 10am-1pm Workshop 6 (online)
